According to the Jordanian Public Security Spokesman, in the meantime, the staff of the Jordanian Public Security Department are dealing with the collapse of a building in Al-Wayedeh area in Amman, the capital.
Faisal Shaboul, Minister of Information and Spokesman of the Jordanian Government, told “Sky News Arabic” that all competent authorities led by the Prime Minister, the Minister of Interior and Health and the Mayor of Amman are present at the site.
He stated that the Prime Minister has conducted an investigation into the causes of the collapse of the building and the identification of the responsible factors, and the work is still ongoing and no deaths have been recorded.
An informed source said: Some people were caught in the collapse of the building and the staffs present at the site are taking necessary measures.
Referring to the power cut of the building in Al-Wayyedah, he pointed out that the collapsed building had 4 floors and its residents were living there.
He added: “Civil defense teams and the police are dealing with this incident. So far, five injured people have been evacuated and the teams are still dealing with this incident.”
