If in most of the protests the slogans are written on large posters, in the different Chinese cities where the demonstrations against Xi Jinping have multiplied, for now it is enough White sheets???????? It is not that the protests are silent, while the demonstrators sing chants and slogans calling for the departure of Xi Jinping, but whoever holds up the blank pages explains: “We don’t need to write anything, it is a symbol of the popular revolution.”
The explanation is given by the journalist Eva Rammeloo, China correspondent for the Dutch Daily, who is there and has recounted on Twitter some of the moments experienced in urmqi, the key city for the revolt that has taken the Chinese streets in recent hours. Living in China for over a decade, Eva Rammeloo says that “I never saw” nothing similar, excluding of course the protests in Hong Kong.
Among the songs sung, the communist “Internationale” is shouted at the top of their lungs by the demonstrators, alternating with the country’s national anthem. Punctuated with chants of “Xi Jinping out!“, protesters began initiatives to criticize the “Covid zero” policy, but the protests quickly spread to the Chinese communist regime.
