A document prepared by the Ukrainian intelligence services states that the mercenary group’s tactics are “the only ones that have been effective” and may even be being adopted by the Russian army.
A new military report from Ukrainian intelligence services reveals detailed information about the capabilities of the Wagner Group, a mercenary organization led by oligarch Yevgeny Prigozhin that has been instrumental in recent Russian military advances in Ukraine. The document, dated December 2022, explains that the group’s greatest threat lies in its effectiveness in close combat situations and, according to the document, in the readiness to withstand significant casualties.

“The death of thousands of Wagner soldiers is of no interest to Russian society. Assault units do not withdraw without superior orders (…) the unauthorized withdrawal of a team, unless they are wounded, is punishable by immediate summary execution”, says the report, quoted by CNN International.
