Gunshots erupted in a shisha lounge during a party, resulting in the death of a 17-year-old student. Authorities identified a suspect with a common history with one of the victims.
A young man died and four were injured after shooting at a shisha bar in Austin, the capital of the US state of Texas, local authorities said Monday.
The fatal victim is Brayden Bolyard, a 17-year-old high school student.Austin police said in a statement, adding that the four injured were receiving treatment at the hospital.
Authorities identified a suspect with “a common history with one of the victims.” He will have left the place after opening fire in the “shisha” room on Saturday night, police said.
The school administration for the city of Jarrell, north of Austin, said in a statement that it was “deeply sad” with the loss of one of the region’s students.
Meanwhile, ten people were injured, two of them seriously, in a shooting that occurred this Monday in Lakeland, in the state of Florida (southeast), allegedly related to marijuana trafficking, local authorities reported.
Four people could be involved in what happened, according to the police, who are trying to locate the car in which the suspect took off.
