Ukraine is entering a critical phase of the war, in which the country and the other allies cannot lose their way to victory. This was the message that Volodymyr Zelensky left the nation this Tuesday, in his usual video communication to the country.
“Many places are quieter today compared to last year. But that does not mean that you can ignore the war in other places, or lose focus on helping the state,” said the Ukrainian president, while stressing the need for the country to be proactive, and that “it would not be reasonable” for Ukraine passively waits for others to win. “Victory is won by all. For those who fight for it and for those who give us weapons. For those who reduce the capabilities of the terrorist state and for those who increase those of Ukraine”.he stated.
Zelensky’s claims echo events on the ground, especially in Bakhmut, where fighting has raged for months with no end in sight.
Zelensky also highlighted the meeting he had on Tuesday with American businessman and philanthropist Howard Buffett who, he says, “has generously helped Ukraine and our people for a long time.” Among the infrastructures that the head of state attributed to Buffett’s action is a school feeding project, which has already started with the construction of a kitchen in Bucha and will be extended to other regions of the country, such as Kharkiv.
“I thank Mr. Buffett for his support. And I thank all of our partners who remain committed to helping,” Zelensky recalled.
