EITHER Carlos V European Award recognizes the work of “people, organizations, projects or initiatives that have contributed to the general knowledge and enhancement of the cultural, social, scientific and historical values of Europe, as well as to the process of construction and European integration”, according to the Academy Foundation European and Ibero-American Yuste, who assigns it.
António Guterres receives the XVI Carlos V European Award, which the jury awarded him “for his Proven, broad and long life track record dedicated to social commitment, the process of European construction, the promotion of multilateralism and human dignity as the axis of its work, addressing global challenges and crises”.
