Unemployment in Japan fell to 2.6% in April

The unemployment rate in Japan fell two tenths in April, to 2.6%, an improvement after the worsening registered in March, the Japanese government indicated on Tuesday.

The number of unemployed in the Asian country reached 1.9 million in the fourth month of the year, a reduction of 20 thousand people (1%) compared to the same period in 2022, according to data released by the Ministry of the Interior and Communications of Japan.

The number of people working in the archipelago was 67.41 million in the month under review, an increase in 140 thousand people (0.2%) compared to the previous year.
