Carlos Pinto Pereira will be the new head of government diplomacy appointed this Saturday by Umaro Sissoco Embaló, which includes 15 secretaries of state.
The Guinean president, Umaro Sissoco Embaló, appointed this Saturday the new Government of Guinea-Bissau, which includes 19 ministries and 15 secretaries of State, and will have Carlos Pinto Pereira as head of diplomacy.
The new Minister of Foreign Affairs of Guinea-Bissau, known as “Caia”, is a lawyer by profession and a member of the ‘political bureau’ of the African Party for the Independence of Guinea and Cape Verde (PAIGC).
Adiatu Djaló Nandigna, also from PAIGC and who has already been part of several governments in the country, was appointed Minister of the Interior, and the Defense portfolio will be headed by Nicolau dos Santos, from the Social Renewal Party, who also took over functions in Guinean executives.
