The conservative reportedly said, after discussing a budget: “You’re just a vice president,” but he didn’t stop there: “You are nothing more than a ‘sale portugal’ [um português sujo]” .

The alleged events were described in a letter addressed to Augis by the vice president, also a rightist, in which he stated that he was “deeply shocked” by the “true brutality” of the criticism he received, according to local newspapers. .

The origin of the discussion was the refusal of the Portuguese descendant to vote with the right-wing majority in the metropolitan area of ​​Tours.

At the time, to journalists, the French mayor simply said that it had been “a private discussion” and that he would not fuel the controversy again, but according to the local newspaper France blue, there will have been an apology. This conviction comes three years after the then president of the Tours metropolitan area, Wilfried Schwartz, resigned for physically attacking his former chief of staff.
