A major exhibition dedicated to the late French rock singer Johnny Hallyday will take place in Brussels from December to June 2023, including immersive performances, before a similar exhibition in Paris in 2024, his widow Leticia announced on Tuesday .

Leticia Holliday, co-producer of this exhibition, which took two years to prepare and has a budget of 12 million euros, issued a statement saying: “It is my duty to Johnny to revive his work so that it continues to accompany millions of fans and new generations. ”
“Hopefully everyone will discover or rediscover who Johnny is on this journey over time using an emotional experience that gets a different feel,” he added.
The exhibition is designed, in particular, through 12 chapters “to enliven the atmosphere of his concerts.”
The installation will feature Johnny Hallyday’s guitars, stage costumes, his last four motorcycles and hundreds of unseen personal items. There will also be a model of Johnny’s bedroom when he was a teenager.
The exhibition will first take place at the Palais des Expositions in Brussels from December 20 to June 15, 2023, and then from January 2024 will move to the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Center in Paris.
Organizers expect 1.2 million visitors and are considering holding the exhibition in other cities in France after Brussels and Paris.
Holliday died of cancer on December 5, 2017. In September 2021, four years after his disappearance, Paris commemorated the singer through a memorial concert in Bercy following the unveil of a statue and a square named after him.
