The film will be directed by Reginald Hudlin and written by Kelly Younger based on a childhood vacation.
While working as a producer with others, Murphy assembled the cast of the popular romantic comedy Boomerang, and the details of the work are still not hidden. However, it is certain that next winter the camera will go to Los Angeles.
In a media release, Holden said of the project, “The holiday season is my favorite time of year, so I’m excited to be working with Eddie Murphy, Brian Grazer and Amazon again.”
Amazon Studios President Jennifer Salk said: “As we know, Eddie Murphy brings global audiences together and we can’t wait for that to happen again! We look forward to seeing the talented Reggie Hudlin take the lead in bringing this holiday classic into the future!”
Noting that Murphy will next co-produce and star in Netflix’s Beverly Hills Cop 4, and will also be opposite Jonah Hill in Kenya Paris’ top-rated comedy You the People.
