The creators of House of the Dragon told the audience at the Comic-Con pop culture conference on Saturday that the pre-HBO series Game of Thrones will look at the origins of the Targaryen family from its boom period.

The drama is set to begin on August 21 and will take place 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, a medieval fantasy series that became a phenomenon thanks to the eight installments that aired before the end of 2019.
Executive Producer Ryan Condell said the new 10-episode series tells the story of a “generational war” between the Targaryen family.
He added: “The events begin at the peak of the family’s fame, at the peak of its power, wealth and influence. And he had (at this time) the largest number of dragons he owned … and this was before his breakup,” Reuters said.
Paddy Considine plays King Viserys Targaryen, whom the actor describes as “a kind, gentle man who tries to keep the peace in the kingdom.”

Matt Smith, star of the sci-fi series Doctor Who, plays Prince Damon Targaryen, the younger brother of the King. Smith said
The siblings have a “very complicated relationship”. Emma Darcy plays Princess Reinera Targaryen, her father’s successor.
Also from the family tree is Princess Rennes Philerion, skipped in terms of access to the throne, played by Eve Best.
The latter said about the character, “She was meant to be a queen. It’s a shame he wasn’t like that. It is also disturbing that people keep reminding her that she is not a queen.”
The new volume is based on the book Fire and Blood by George RR Martin, who criticized parts of Game of Thrones and said he watched nine episodes of the new series and loved it. He continues, “These books, these characters are like my children… If you give your children up for adoption, you worry about whether they will be treated well and whether you will meet them afterwards.” “I’m very happy” so far, he said.
