The Syrian government has raised fuel and diesel prices without subsidies, saying this is due to significant increases in the prices of petroleum derivatives around the world.
According to two decisions published by the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection on Tuesday night, the prices of subsidized fuel and diesel will remain unchanged, unchanged.
While the ministry set the price of petrol (90 octane) at £ 3,500 per liter, up from £ 2,500, it also set the price of petrol (95 octane) at £ 4,000, from £ 3,500.
The ministry also set the price of a liter of industrial and commercial diesel at 2,500 pounds per liter, compared to 1,700 pounds.
In justifying the two decisions, the ministry said they occurred “due to the significant increase in prices of oil derivatives around the world, and prevented them from exploiting the black market as a result of large price differences. of Petroleum. derivatives ”. . ”
In accordance with the two decisions, its implementation will begin in the first minute tomorrow morning, Wednesday.
