Brigadier General Abolfazl Shukrji, an official spokesman for Iran’s armed forces, said the factory that opened in Tajikistan would only make reconnaissance drones.
On the sideline of the visit of the Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Bagheri to Tajikistan, where a factory for the manufacture of Iranian drones “Ababeel 2” was inaugurated, Shakirji explained that “considering capabilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the manufacture of drones, this factory will only build reconnaissance aircraft. “This will be very effective within the framework of our regional cooperation.”
He added, according to our correspondent in Tehran: “We have an advantage in the field of marches in the region and we provide all our defense and security needs.”
“Regarding defense cooperation with other countries, we currently have bilateral and multilateral cooperation to export or manufacture surveillance drones to various countries,” he noted.
