Russian Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov stressed that Russia remains a reliable supplier of grain in the world, having increased supplies in March and April 2022, including bad countries.

Reshetnikov said: “Last year, despite the global decline in food supplies in international markets, Russia became the largest exporter of grain. We shipped 30 million tons to 100 countries in the world, and most of the Supplies went to Turkey, Egypt and “South Asian countries. We (Russia) remain a reliable supplier under the current circumstances. In March and April (starting in 2022) we increased wheat exports to neutral countries, including those that impose sanctions on us. ”
The Russian official also pointed out that the sanctions imposed on Russia are damaging the world economy and trade, affecting the well -being of people in many countries in the world.
The minister said the world economy has faced a series of challenges in recent years, as the mechanisms and supply chains formed in recent years have been disrupted due to the coronavirus pandemic, and the Problems related to food and energy have also deteriorated, and there is a risk of inflation in major economies, whose situation will be complicated by unprecedented pressures of sanctions against Russia.
Reshetnikov added: “Initially, the restrictions were aimed at destabilizing and weakening the Russian economy, but in reality they completely destroyed the world economy and trade, leading to higher prices for raw materials. materials and decline in human well -being. in many countries of the world. ”
On the impact of the new Western sanctions on Russia, the Russian minister said that “Russia has been living under the weight of Western sanctions for a long time, and during this time it has learned to adapt to changing conditions. And that is what happened. now.”
