AAA data: Gas prices soar above $5 per gallon, breaking record for 14th consecutive day

Fuel prices hit a record high for the fourteenth consecutive day, surpassing $5 per gallon, according to AAA data on Saturday.

Saturday was the first day AAA data showed fuel prices exceeding $5 per gallon. GasBuddy on Thursday reported that gas prices had reached $5.

That massive figure is bad news for President Joe Biden, who is trying to raise gas prices to force citizens to use less fossil fuels, according to a Trafalgar Group poll conducted May 29.

Gasoline prices were so high that memes criticizing Democrats for the price hike started popping up. Perhaps fearful of the power of memes, Big Tech began to study memes:

Energy Minister Jennifer Granholm told reporters last week that American drivers will have to pay at least four dollars per gallon for the foreseeable future.

Trump had warned He tells voters that if Biden wins the 2020 election, the price of gasoline will reach at least $7 per gallon. “If Biden gets there, you’ll pay $7.8.9. Then “take out the car!” they will say.

According to the Energy Information Administration (EIA), Americans will pay $450 more for gas in 2022 than last year, adjusted for inflation.

The survey shows that 74 percent of respondents said Biden’s high gas price was a “very important” factor in how they voted in the midterms. Biden’s approval of gas price management is only 27 percent.
