THE CP suppressed 707 of the 982 scheduled trains between 00:00 and 18:00 this Thursday, for the strike of the workers of the railway control, of Infraestruturas de Portugal (IP)an official company source told Lusa.
According to the balance made by CP – Comboios de Portugal à Lusa, between 00:00 and 18:00 982 trains were scheduled and 275 were carried outof which 14 long distance, 63 regional, 138 urban in Lisbon and 60 urban in Porto.

East it is the second day of strike convened by the Trade Union Association of Railway Command and Control Professionals (Aprofer).
On Tuesday, the first strike day of these IP workers took place, which led CP to suppress 903 of the 1,274 scheduled calls between 00:00 and 22:00.
CP had already informed that he expected “strong disturbances in the circulation of trains, at the national level, in all services” during the two days of the strike.

IP – Infraestruturas de Portugal, the company that manages the railway network, reported on its website that during the strike it would guarantee “the opening of 30% of its rail channel for the Urban – Lisbon and Porto serviceY 25% for other circulationsin the terms of the minimum agreed services” with Aprofer.
THE Strike covers about 300 workers in IP Railway Command and Controlthat regulate the punctuality and safety of 100% of rail traffic and that are concentrated in the stations of Braço de Prata, Contumil and Setúbal, that is, in the operational command centers (OCC) of Lisbon, Porto and Setúbal.
According to the president of Aprofer, Adriano Filipe, at the base of the labor conflict is the demand for a professional training system for operational command centersof a specific performance and evaluation system for these functions and salary update.
