Starbucks CEO said stores in Seattle, Portland, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, DC are no longer safe.

Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz, a Democratic donor, said American cities are “removing their responsibility to fight crime.”

“I think at the local, state, and federal levels, these governments and leaders, mayors and governors, city councils across the country have relinquished their responsibility to fight crime and address the mental health issue,” Schultz said. He said it in the posted video. from Twitter.

Earlier this week, Starbucks announced it would close its stores in four Democratic-ruled states and the District of Columbia.

Breitbart News reports on developments:

Starbucks Corporation… announced the closure of 16 stores in the US due to employee safety concerns, including violence in the region and drug use.

The coffee retailer will permanently close six stores in Seattle, Washington, and six stores in Los Angeles, California. Two stores in Portland, Oregon, and one each in Philadelphia and Washington DC will close.

Schultz spoke at an internal meeting.

“In a very modern work environment where customer behavior is changing, we need to improve, transform and modernize a lot of the things we do to meet our customers’ needs,” Schultz said.

Schultz said America is “insecure” right now.

“I don’t have to spend a lot of time on what’s going on in the country and how America has become insecure,” Schultz said. “But you all read the press release for the last few days as we started closing nonprofit stores.”

“Then we heard accompanying stories about what was going on in our bathrooms; mental illness problem, homelessness problem and crime problem,” he said.

“Starbucks is like a window to America, we have stores in every community and we find things that stores don’t. And so we listen to our employees and close our stores and that’s just the beginning,” Schultz said.

“There are many more,” he said.
