On Friday, Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) thanked her fellow Democrats and the Biden administration for their reports on the ongoing inflation problem in the US.
Slotkin told CNN’s New Day that “people felt and saw the cycle” at high prices. He added that people don’t like that some fake inflation is okay.
“I’m from Michigan, right? We’re pretty frank about what’s going on. And I think people can feel and see the rotation and I don’t think they like it,” Slotkin said. “
“When you’re sitting at the kitchen table at night, your kids are already asleep and you’re trying to figure out how much money goes in and how much comes out, these mathematical equations aren’t very good. . for most so far, and at least in my case,” he added. “So I want to be honest and then I want to say, ‘Here’s the plan.’ Here’s the road. And even if it’s six months, it’s a longer term thing… I want to be transparent because people know it’s a problem. We shouldn’t try to pretend it doesn’t exist.”
