The Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco (IPCB) invested around 200 thousand euroswithin the framework of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), in support teams for interactive, computerized and georeferenced learning.
“This new acquisition marks the beginning of the Red Politécnica A23 (A23 Polytechnic Network) project, approved within the framework of the PRR Program, Impulso Jovenes STEAM and Impulso Adultos, which includes funded trainingin the areas of Protection of People and Assets and Digital Competencies, Higher Professional Technical Courses, postgraduate programs and short-term training cycles aimed at the active population.
The A23 Polytechnic Network is a consortium led by the IPCB, which also includes the polytechnics of Guarda and Tomar and will start the first training courses in the 2022/2023 school year.
Its creation was approved under the PRR, with eligible global funding of 4,742,000 euros.
“The investment is around 200 thousand euros and includes a wide range of computer equipment, interactive learning support equipment and georeferencing and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) equipment,” reads the note.
The project seeks to respond to the Youth Impulse Program for the STEAM areas – science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics, and to the Adult Impulse Program.
The A23 Polytechnic Network incorporates a network of around 60 collaborating entities, including companies, institutions, inter-municipal communities, municipalities, business associations, school groups, companies and public institutions.
