There are movies from the entertainment giant with more modest “plot twists” than the one released by Disney on Sunday night. The then CEO, Bob Chapek, was replaced effective immediately by his predecessor, Bob Iger.
The outcome is surprising, even more so considering that it was Iger who announced his desire to leave Disney in 2020 and personally chose his successor Chapek. Now, he returns to the company that he led for 15 years, after a departure that had practical effects in 2021.
