Everything seemed more or less predictable. Sweden received the highest score (12 points) from the vast majority of national juries, leaving Italy and Israel, in second and third place, several dozen points behind. But the high number of points awarded by the public to Finland (376) threatened to knock Loreen off the podium. With his nerves on edge, the Swedish artist listened to the final result: 583 points, 57 more than those that, after all, had been attributed to the Finns. For the second time, Loreen won the Eurovision Song Contest. And made history.
Excited, the artist, the second to win Eurovision twice and the only woman to achieve the feat, thanked the award, which she dedicated to all her fans. “This is for you,” she announced. Moments later, she returned to the Liverpool Arena stage to perform “Tattoo” again, the song that earned her the title of winner of the 67th edition of the European song festival, whose final took place this Saturday night. It was an intense performance, with the artist having a hard time holding back tears as she sang. At the end, Loreen put her hands together and thanked him again.
