OE2025: Minister of Infrastructure believes that document will be viable

The Minister of Infrastructure and Housing, Miguel Pinto Luz, said this Tuesday that he believes that the State Budget for 2025 (OE2025) will be viable and that, in terms of housing, it reflects a general consensus.

“I am an optimistic militant and I believe that [o OE2025] It will be possible,” said Miguel Pinto Luz.in the closing speech of the conference “Accelerating housing construction”, promoted by the Casais Group, in Lisbon.

In statements to journalists upon his arrival, the government official had already conveyed his optimism about the viability of the document, after also being asked if there was room for the Government to negotiate in this area.

“I think it is a budget with general consensus and that is what is needed in housing, it is a problem that must have consensus among everyone,” responded Pinto Luz.

On Thursday, the Government delivered to Parliament the State Budget proposal for 2025 (OE2025), which predicts that the economy will grow 1.8% in 2024 and 2.1% in 2025 and a surplus of 0.4% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) this year and 0.3% next.

It is not yet guaranteed that the proposal is generally viable and the vote is scheduled for the 31st, in parliament.

Whether the budget proposal of the PSD/CDS Government is generally viable with the abstention of the PS or, alternatively, with the favorable votes of Chega, it will be evaluated in detail in Parliament between November 22 and 29.. The final global vote on the Budget is scheduled for November 29.
