Union delegates from the Tax Workers Union (STI) will meet on Friday, in front of the Ministry of Finance, in Lisbon, to “raise awareness about persistent problems” at the Tax Authority, it was announced this Monday.
In a statement, the STI states that the The initiative will take place between 10:30 and 12:00 p.m. “and aims to raise awareness about the protection of Persistent problems in the Tax and Customs Authority (AT) and the high inflation that has degraded the purchasing power of workers in the sector in recent years.”
HE STI has already announced that it will continue with the strike on December 19 and 20demanding professional advancement, better working conditions and a review of the salary scale.
“If the stalemate continues, the union foresees other strikes by AT workers, for an indefinite period, for 2025,” the STI states in the statement.
The STI says it has around 300 union delegateswhich They represent the more than seven thousand AT workers from all over the country, affiliated to the union, and it is expected that more than a hundred will participate in this meeting.
