More than 10,000 units of the green pass have already been sold, the Government announced.

The green pass was launched on October 21 and costs 20 euros. The Government has assured that it will provide CP with the means to compensate for increased demand and decreased revenue.
It can only be used on CP trains and covers regional services, the second class of interregional services, urban services in Lisbon, Porto and Coimbra and the second class of Intercidades (for which it is necessary to reserve a seat).
The Government estimates the annual cost of this measure at 19 million.
