On HBO’s “Real Time” show on Friday, host Bill Maher said that some of the drug problem and homelessness in various major cities stems from the political approach that “nothing is better than nothing” and “everything is positive”. Not everything is positive. You should be ashamed of what you use, you can leave it.”
Mahir said:[P]The art of losing the civilization issue is not being able to judge why some things are better than others. We’ve seen this over and over again. Nothing is better than nothing, hiding women with a veil is just one way. And not vice versa. And it’s even worse when there’s shit in the park, when you’re trying to play baseball with your kids or whatever.”
After displaying a poster urging people from New York not to be ashamed of drug use: “This is part of the problem of the loss of civilization. Shame is part of life. We – we do – everything – toxic positive, everything positive. Not everything is positive. You should be ashamed of what you use, you can leave it.”
He later added: “That’s what I always say to leftists across the country when what you’re doing seems to be doing you good. Onion title, stop.
