Sexual Assault Case Against Judge Kevin Spacey May Continue

NEW YORK (AP) — A civil sexual assault case against actor Kevin Spacey could go to federal court in New York City, a federal judge ruled Monday.

In a written decision, Judge Lewis A. Kaplan said that the accusations leveled against Spacey by actor Anthony Rapp raise a major factual question as to whether Rapp’s reasoning was sufficient to satisfy Spacey sexually. in 1986. Rap is 14 years old.

The judge realized that Rapp had claimed that Spacey had placed a dressed Rapp on the bed and had his dressed body lying on the side of Rapp’s body for a moment, before Rapp “hugged” him, got up and left the room.

In his case, Rapp sought compensation and compensation for the alleged assault, assault and deliberate torture for emotional distress.

The judge said Rapp had stated that in the interview, which lasted no more than two minutes, there was no kissing, undressing, touching under clothing, sexual expression or innuendo.

Spacey denied the allegations.

Kaplan denied the customary assault charge and said the allegation was not included in lawsuits reopened by the New York State Child Victims Act, which in 2019 temporarily allowed individuals to file lawsuits in situations generally prohibited by statute of limitations.

The decision comes two weeks after British prosecutors said police had allowed Spacey to charge three men with four counts of sexual assault. The alleged incidents occurred in London between 2005 and 2013.

Rapp’s lawyer, Peter Saguire, declined to comment. Spacey’s attorney did not respond to a message seeking comment.
