President Joe Biden joked on Wednesday Live Jimmy Kimmel He said he wanted to send Republicans to “jail” for refusing to support gun control and other aspects of his agenda.
In an interview with ABC’s left-wing news anchor Jimmy Kimmel, the president expressed disappointment that “Republicans weren’t playing fair” in blocking gun control measures.
“It’s like you’re playing Monopoly with someone who doesn’t pass Git or doesn’t follow any rules, and how will you move forward if they don’t follow the rules?” Kimmel replied.
“You should send them to jail,” Biden joked:
Jimmy Kimmel has expressed disappointment with the Democrats’ control of the House, Senate and White House, but has made little progress on issues like guns, abortion and climate change.
“We’re back,” said Kimmel.
Biden spoke of the need to respect the democratic process and criticized former President Donald Trump for his “abuse of the Constitution”.
“Our democracy is a complete threat if we do what they do. This is not a joke,” he said.
Biden added that Republicans were afraid to take action on gun control as they would face a major challenge from the “far right”.
“This is not your father’s Republican Party, this is the MAGA Party, this is a completely different Republican Party,” he said.
Biden has a political relative in Kimmel.

A longtime Democratic Party ally, Kimmel hosted a major fundraiser at Avalon Hollywood in 2018 and helped raise big money for the political action committee set up by Garcetti’s Democratic Midterm Victory Fund.
Democrats continued to win a majority in the US House of Representatives.
