Pop star Lizzo has changed the lyrics for her new song “Grrrls” after she faced backlash as “the best insult” for the singer’s “I’m crazy” tone. On Monday, the singer said on social media that she changed the lyrics because she understood the power of hurtful words “like a fat black woman in America.”
“Hold my bag, bitch, hold my bag, see the shit? I’m crazy,” Lizzo said at the beginning of her latest single “Grrrls”.
However, the use of the word “spas” sparked outrage among social media users, who accused the pop star of being an “abysmal insult” to people with cerebral palsy.
Lizzo, who battled Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in the 2020 presidential campaign, has already changed the lyrics to the song, replacing “I’m crazy” with “Hold it”.

Last year, pop star Sia apologized and deleted her Twitter account in response to backlash for her feature film debut. musicit featured a scene where an autistic woman is physically restrained.
The singer’s film was called the “solid list” and was criticized for inviting non-autistic actress Maddie Ziegler to play an autistic character in the film.
