Actress Bette Midler, star of upcoming Disney movie hocus pocus 2He responded to the attacks of the awakening crowd by insisting that he “had no intention of doing anything unaccompanied” after being accused of transphobia for using terms like “born person” and “menstruating”.
In a tweet to the waking crowd, Midler said women bathe because they’ve been called “people giving birth”, “menstruating people” and even “people who have.”
“WOMEN OF THE WORLD! We have been deprived of our rights over our bodies, our lives, and even our name! ” Midler wrote. “They don’t call us ‘women’ anymore; they call us “child” or “menstruating” or even “possessors”! Don’t let them erase you! Everyone in the world owes you! ”

The backlash from social media users was quickly met with a tweet in which the actress accused her of not including people who thought she was of the opposite sex.
“Betty, this is a disappointment to you,” said one Twitter user. Wrote. “We use these terms to refer to trans men and non-binary people who can get pregnant. It is absurd and dangerous to confuse attempts at trans-inclusion with right-wing attempts to control our bodies as a threat. ”
One Twitter user protested that “NO ONE DIDN’T TELL YOU THAT YOU’RE NOT A WOMAN OR CALL YOURSELF”. announced, with a clap emoji between each word. “I WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT EVERY WHITE IS NOT A WOMAN.”
“As a wombless woman, I support inclusive language to normalize the fact that trans men also need reproductive health, 100%” – another answered. “It’s not trans people who deprive me of my bodily rights. [autonomy]. We’re both fighting the same war.”
“Please don’t do this” – another begged. “Gender and gender have never and never been binary, and the imposition of an arbitrary binary system harms everyone – especially intersex, transgender and non-binary people. Patriarchy benefits from a strong dual system, not women.
Fuck Bette Midler. All or none of us.

The fight for women’s rights involves transgender people – transgender rights do not violate women’s rights. We all collectively struggle with this, and this rhetoric against exceptions is NOT helpful.

Midler responded by revealing that his original tweet was a link. New York Times Article published after the US Supreme Court overturned the decision Rowe vs. Wade. In the article, columnist Pamela Paul criticized the use of terms like “parousers” and “menstruators.”
“Planning Parenthood, once a staunch advocate of women’s rights, has removed the word ‘women’ from its homepage,” Paul wrote. NARAL Pro-Choice America used “men by birth” instead of “women”.
Elsewhere in the article, Paul states that “even the word ‘woman’ has become taboo.”
“It was formerly a commonly understood term for half the world’s population, with specific meanings pertaining to genetics, biology, history, politics and culture. He’s gone,” he added. It was replaced by complex terms such as “pregnant,” “menstruating,” and “genital bodies.”
But in today’s hot society, women who say this face the wrath of awakened gangs and transgender activists.
One Twitter user reacted by saying that Midler had become “radical”. New York Times ed.

In another follow-up tweet, Midler continued: “For as long as I can remember I have fought for marginalized people. But if you want to set aside 60 years of my proven love and concern for a tweet that unintentionally angered both people. ”
“I always support and adore,” he added in a fourth tweet. “But the truth is Democracy slipped through our fingers! I do my best to protect democracy for EVERYONE. We must unite, because if you ignore it, we will surely fall in division.

Similarly, singer Macy Gray was criticized on Monday for simply stating the biological truth that “if you change parts of your body, you don’t become a woman.”
