Ana Navarro told co-hosts on ABC’s The View on Tuesday that a good “advice” for First Lady Jill Biden when interacting with Hispanics is to avoid any comparison with tacos, enchiladas, chimichangas, alcapurrias and chilaquiles. ”
In Biden’s speech at the United States annual conference, he compared Hispanics to “unique breakfast tacos.”
Co-host Whoopi Goldberg said: “You think you can say that someone might have pre-read the speech and say maybe they didn’t want to say it that way. But I won’t say what it is because we all step on it from time to time, it just happens.”
Co-host Sunny Hosting said, “Our senior producer said, “But who wrote the talk and left, yeah, I got it right? And then I gave it to him because I think he has a lot of top Hispanic on his roster.
“The White House is full of top Hispanics. They chose Julie Chavez Rodriguez as Special Counsel,” Navarro said.
He continued, “I want to give him appearance points. Because for four years, we had an administration where no one came to the Essence festival before they came to the convention of the States,” he said.
“One tip when talking to Latinos is to really, really avoid comparisons with tacos, enchiladas, chimichangas, alcapurrias, and chilaquiles,” Navarro says.
