Luís Montenegro managed to recruit important Rioists (Hugo Carneiro, Catarina Rocha Ferreira and Ricardo Batista Leite) for the new leadership of the PSD caucus, in a process of montenegrization of the bank from which there are few pockets of resistance. The options that are going to be voted on this Wednesday must be approved by a large majority, but there is one dissatisfied faction. The departure of Vice President André Coelho Lima from the caucus leadership was described to the Observer by some Rui Rio supporters as a “sanitation“.
