Man throws cake at Mona Lisa painting at Louvre Museum

The room was full, as it is every day, when hundreds of visitors gather around the small frame from which the Gioconda, trying to capture a photograph of one of the most famous paintings in the world. This time, however, they ended up capturing an unusual moment: when the person in the wheelchair got up and suddenly threw a cake at the painting.

The situation was witnessed by several of those present, who shared it on social networks. According to versions, summarized by the newspaper El País, the painting was not damaged, thanks to the glass that protects the painting, which was completed in 1506.

The witnesses also revealed that the person responsible was expelled immediately, but not before leaving a resounding appeal, which was captured and spread on social networks: “There are people trying to destroy the planet, think about the Earth, think about the Earth”. he said. “Artists who think of the earth, that’s why I did this.”

The identity of the man is still unknown.
