The British band Coldplay will give three extra concerts in Coimbra, on May 18, 20 and now also on May 21, 2023, the group announced on Thursday on the official website.
After the first concert, on May 17, 2023, was the target of great demand, both online and in physical stores, with more than 200,000 people queuing online on the Ticketline platform, the band led by Chris Martin added a new concert. to his visit to Portugal.
Minutes after the second date (May 18) was announced this Thursday morning, the group announced a third concert date, set for May 20. And shortly after the date of the fourth concert arrived: May 21.
Tickets for the concert on the 17th ranged between 65 and 150 euros in the stands, up to 85 euros on the lawn of the Estádio Cidade de Coimbra. Starting in Portugal, the European tour in 2023 passes through Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden and other countries, as well as including shows in the United Kingdom, Manchester and Cardiff.
Created in January 1998, in London, they signed their first record deal a year later, when they were opening for bands like Catatonia and airing on BBC Radio 1. The band released their first album, entitled “Parachutes”, in 2000 , the year in which they made their first tour in their own name, only in the United Kingdom, where all the dates were sold out.
Since then, they have released eight more studio albums and toured Portugal several times, from the Paredes de Coura festival in 2000 to 2012, at the Estádio do Dragão, in Porto.
