There are epics that, as long as they are, deserve every minute of our attention. But we don’t always have time for such dedication, and cutting a movie off halfway (or stretching it out further) isn’t even a possibility for many moviegoers. Sometimes the short duration of a film can generate narratives that seem incomplete, but there are others that, although brief in duration, do not need another second. If the challenge is to organize a list of titles in this category, the possibilities are many, but we take a risk and leave here a dozen suggestions: great films of less than 90 minutes.
