Three people arrested for speculating with tickets to Taylor Swift’s concerts in Lisbon

Three people were arrested for trying to sell tickets to American singer Taylor Swift’s concerts in Portugal for a price higher than the stipulated price, the Economic and Food Safety Authority (ASAE) revealed this Saturday.

In a statement, ASAE explains that the three people were detained “in flagrante delicto, for the crime of speculation”, were subject to an identity and residence authorization and will be notified to appear in court.

Regarding the two Taylor Swift concerts at the Estádio da Luz in Lisbon, on Friday and this Saturday, the ASAE carried out an inspection operation in recent days, “aimed at the sale of tickets, on digital platforms, essentially networks social”.

During the inspection operation, five tickets that were sold on social networks were also seized, “with net profit margins ranging between 120 and 1,500 euros per ticket.”

Taylor Swift performs for the first time in Portugal, as part of her world tour “The Eras Tour”.

The two concerts in Lisbon were announced almost a year ago and tickets sold out quickly, with prices ranging between 62.50 and 539 euros, taxes not included.

The tour, which celebrates Taylor Swift’s career, with a line-up that includes the most popular songs, will end in December of this year in Vancouver, Canada.

This Taylor Swift world tour has already broken records and was the first to exceed one billion dollars (about 923 million euros) in income, according to Forbes magazine.
