Jen Psaki bids farewell: 17 highlights (or disappointments)

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said goodbye on Friday, May 13, ending an awkward career as the top spokesperson for the Biden administration. He left Biden at a low point, suffering in the polls due to inflation and home shortages and turmoil abroad.

Yes, some called it the “best ever”—especially in the establishment media—perhaps because the job of explaining Joe Biden’s failings is so difficult. Here are the 10 most memorable moments of his tenure, for better or worse:

Despite meaningless lectures about pandemic measures, Psaki somehow managed to get sick with COVID twice. She also had a hard time explaining the White House’s double standard for wearing masks on federal property, she said.

16. “Back circle.” Psaki was ridiculed by conservatives for his repeated promises to “circle” reporters from the podium when he didn’t know the answer to questions, or perhaps chose not to answer even though he knew.

Psaki echoed some known liberal scams about Trump, notably the “bleach” hoax, and insisted – despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary – telling Americans to inject bleach to treat COVID (he didn’t).

In the midst of Rittenhouse’s trial, Psaki criticized “attacking armed vigilantes”. After Rittenhouse was acquitted, he refused to refute Biden’s false statement that Rittenhouse was a “white supremacist.”

Psaki said his briefings would combat “disinformation” and defend the Biden administration’s office of “disinformation” until last week. However, he spread disinformation about Russia and Hunter Biden.

Psaki seems to have ignored the US military’s sixth column while mocking a reporter’s question about Biden’s question of whether he would continue to add Donald Trump to the military. He later announced that he supported her.

When Biden’s dog Major was accused of being bitten by a Secret Service agent, Psaki downplayed the case. The documents later showed that Psaki misled the public about the dog’s true threat to agency employees.

Psaki stated that he did not want journalists to ask questions about the crisis on the southern border, punishing the journalists for “crazy” questions about it. He argued that Biden’s policies were more “moral” and “humane” than Trump’s.

It took days for Psaki to denounce the violence after the draft opinion was revoked Caviar leaked, and possibly illegally, driving protests outside the judges’ homes.

At first, Psaki mocked the idea of sending free COVID tests to every American, saying it was too expensive. A few days later, in the middle of the micron wave, management finally started doing it.

Psaki launched the false but effective claim that Florida passed a law that literally forbids people from saying “gay.” The law effectively restricts any form of sex education to K-3 children.

Among the many examples of the Biden administration’s lack of respect for the press, one of the worst is Psaki’s allegation that Fox News (one of several critical voices in the press) made Peter Doucey look like a “dumb son of a bitch.” “

Psaki experimented with various justifications for inflation, first by claiming that inflation was short-lived (“inflation will fall next year”), and then by trying to present inflation positively as a byproduct of a big economy.

Among other cleanup jobs, Psaki had to explain that Biden was sadly unable to celebrate his D-Day anniversary in 2021. He told reporters that the historic event is “still close to his heart”.

Psaki and many other members of the administration had to be recalled from summer vacation as Afghanistan began to fall to the Taliban, a setback that has shaped the president’s stance since then.

Psaki has repeatedly (and successfully) avoided questions about Hunter Biden, his laptop, and his father’s financial connection, claiming it was a private matter or under the jurisdiction of the Justice Department.

Psaki’s advice is to “call your doctor” when parents who are worried about their babies because of the national infant formula shortage are asked what to do. Neither he nor the White House can comfort American families.

Here’s one example where Psaki was right: He finally admitted that communism was a “failed ideology” when Cubans protested their oppressive regime on the streets. But unfortunately that’s all the Biden administration is willing to do to help them.
