Report: Housekeepers Can Get Free Peloton Membership with Taxpayer Dollars

The House of Representatives is reportedly planning to give all its employees free Peloton memberships at the expense of taxpayer dollars as Americans grapple with rising gas and food prices due to inflation.

According to Fox News, the “Premier Employee Benefit” includes the Peloton app and Peloton All-Access memberships and will be available to approximately 10,000 people working in the House of Representatives and approximately 2,300 Capitol police officers.

The source told Fox Business that the contract cost Peloton $10,000 as a down payment, with an additional $10, which could be $120,000 per month, for each employee or employee who redeems the benefit.

For the rest of America, an app membership is $12.99 for fitness access, and a full access membership is $24 per month until the end of 2022, according to the fitness company’s website. All Access membership after 2022, $39 per month.

Reuters reported that the cost of full access membership is planned to be increased further to $44 per month.

Washington Free Beacon reports that the government contract with Peloton comes after the company opened a lobby center in Washington DC.

Peloton Corporate Wellness assistance comes as the country faces a shortage of baby food, which has spurred desperate parents to travel long distances and provide baby food supplies, restricted by some customers.
