Japanese legacy night was in the backseat with the Mets’ right-hand man Max Scherzer on Friday night.
The plan is for Japanese Ambassador and Consul General Mikio Mori to withdraw the initial offer. However, due to a scheduling misunderstanding, Mets scepter Max Scherzer was making the warm-up shots when Maury first came onto the field. Scherzer is also not inclined to interrupt her routine and let Maury ditch the ceremonial ground.

And honestly, when Scherzer is on top, who wants to follow along?
After Scherzer’s warm-up performance, it was a dizzying display of greatness as he took seven hits and three hits in one run.
It’s not clear yet if Metz is planning a makeover for Ambassador Maury.
