Former President George W. Bush exposed on Wednesday night that he had abused power, accusing Russian leader Vladimir Putin of “utterly unreasonable and brutal aggression” against Ukraine, while praising the Ukrainian President and Volodymyr Zelensky.
But Bush freaked out and said “Iraq” instead of “Ukraine”.
Bush spoke at the presidential headquarters at Southern Methodist University on Wednesday about the ongoing tensions between Ukraine and Russia.
“Russia’s elections were rigged, political opponents were imprisoned or excluded from participation in the electoral process. The result is the absence of a system of checks and balances in Russia,” he said. I said.
And the decision of someone to launch a completely irrational and brutal invasion of Iraq – namely Ukraine.” Bush, 75, stopped when people burst into laughter and blamed his age for the mistake.
“Anyway, 75,” he added.

Bush’s startling “observation” is a reminder that the great “freedom agenda” doctrine he used to justify the war in Iraq is now, with minor modifications, used to justify the US proxy war with Ukraine. From Liz Cheney (right) and Jake Auchincloss (right) – Bush 2.0. pic.twitter.com/vol2955coH

Breitbart News contacted Karl Rove, who was Bush’s deputy chief of staff when Bush launched the Iraq War in 2003. “May I suggest contacting the former president’s office? There are people responding to press questions,” Rove told Breitbart News.
Rove was instrumental in persuading former President Bush to invade Iraq, one of the most beloved wars in US history and widely criticized in the decades that followed.
Despite the fact that more than 4,000 American soldiers were killed and tens of thousands of Iraqi civilians were killed, Rove supports the war in Iraq, arguing that it was the “right decision”.
Rove told an Iraq War veteran in 2015:
I appreciate your service to our country. I’m sorry for what you’ve been through, but removing Saddam Hussein from power is the right thing to do. The US government and the US military did the right thing. We should be proud of what we did in Iraq and regret leaving them alone because things only got worse when we broke up with them.
Despite his attempts, Rove made no further comment on the former president’s antics.
Bush’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment sent to Breitbart News’ press secretary, Freddie Ford.
