Vulnerable Democratic Representative Kim Schrir (Washington) plays President Joe Biden as he continues to play on both sides, showing him when he believes his presence is good for his campaign, and criticizing his administration when he isn’t.
Schrier voiced the idea in a show on MSNBC over the weekend. Alex Witt’s report When he criticizes Biden for the lack of baby food.
“What happened?” Citing Biden’s inaction over the deficiency, he noted that the product was recalled in February after four infants were hospitalized and that “bacterial infections may have resulted in the deaths of two patients.”
“Nothing was done,” he added. “It could have been predicted in February that this would be an emergency, and so far we have seen nothing about increasing, importing and passing the Defense Production Act to force competitors to increase production.”
This isn’t the first time observers have noticed Schrier’s inconsistent stance on the president. Schrier was summoned last month for criticizing Biden’s border policies, despite voting for some border laws that Biden supports.
It was great to see everyone come to my town halls in North Bend and Wenatchee in April! Thanks to North Bend Mayor McFarland and Mayor Wenatchee Koontz for moderation. Stay tuned for updates on future town halls! pic.twitter.com/AgYFvK9HwK

Schrier’s criticisms came nearly a month after Biden visited Washington, where the congressman was campaigning against him. Biden signed an executive order designed to help restore national forests devastated by natural disasters.
During the visit, Schrier seemed very close to the president and even held Biden’s hand while walking with some other Democratic lawmakers.
But Democrats like Schrier are trying to play on both sides – stay close to Biden and criticize him and his administration when appropriate – because the presidential vote has fallen.
Biden, who has been in office for more than a year, has received a low approval rating for his handling of the supply chain crisis, high inflation, baby food shortages and the failed withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan. The main legislative proposal, the $1.75 trillion Recovery Better (BBB) Act, has been around for a long time.
A few months ago, in September, Washington State Wire admitted that support for Biden had evaporated in Schrier’s Eighth congressional district. At that time, 45 percent of voters said they would vote for Schrier against an unnamed Republican candidate, and only 44 percent said they would vote for a Republican candidate. The poll also showed that 50 percent of voters did not agree with Biden, while only 46 percent approved.
Months later, Biden’s national approval rating continued to drop to its lowest point, which could hurt Schrier in his re-election bid. According to Cook’s political report, his congressional district was moved to “drawing” status.
Republican Jesse Jensen – a former Army Ranger and head of Task Force Argo, which hopes to overthrow Rep. In the midterm elections, Kim Schrier — recently at a show at SiriusXM, criticized her corruption and her congressional voting record. Breitbart news on Saturday. He promised to be a tireless advocate for his constituents if elected:
“I will fight for every man, woman and child in the 8th constituency. I will not be a cliché for my party or anyone… Schrier has 100 percent of the vote along with Nancy Pelosi. She didn’t see the tax increases or spending increases she didn’t want,” she said.
It’s not the first time Jensen has targeted a Democrat for being a “seal” for Biden.
In November, he also urged Schrier to repeal the Better than Biden’s Reconstruction Act. “Whether it’s an Afghan withdrawal, a porous border, the cut-off of funding for our police force, or massive inflation for American families, Kim Schrier and the Liberal Democrats continue to fail and we continue to pay the price.”
