Republican incumbent Mike Garcia manages the California forest in a recent Remington Research Group poll.
The poll showed that, in a poll by the Remington Research Group, 44 percent of 801 prospective voters in the 2022 primary voted for Garcia rather than the two Democrats in the election.
Thirty-four percent of those polled said they would vote for Democrat Christie Smith and ten percent said they would vote for the Democrat John Quay Quartey. Also, 12% of respondents said they could not make a decision.
California elections are held as “jungle primaries”, meaning that unlike most states that have separate primaries for candidates, all candidates are on the same ballot, regardless of party affiliation. Democratic and Republican with whom you win the party nomination to advance. to the general.

When asked who the participants would vote for in a face-to-face battle between Garcia and the Quartey, the Republican won. 47 percent said they would vote for Garcia, and 41 percent said they would vote for Quartey. The rate of those who are undecided is 12 percent.
Garcia also won a head-to-head battle with Smith. Forty-seven percent said they would vote for Garcia again, while 45 percent said they would vote for Smith. In this face-to-face battle, only eight percent said they were undecided.
The poll also showed Garcia more in favor than the other two Democrat polls. 39% said they had a positive opinion about it, only 26% said they had a negative opinion, and 35% said they had no idea.
Only 17 percent said they had a positive opinion of the Quarty, while only ten percent said they had a negative opinion of it and 73 percent said they had no idea. 34 percent of those who had a positive opinion of Smith, 23 percent of those who had a negative opinion of Smith, and 43 percent of those who had no opinion.
The Remington Research Group survey was conducted April 19-20 and included 801 people likely to vote in the 2022 primary elections. The survey had a +/- 3.3 percent margin of error and 95 percent confidence level.
