In July 2020—at the height of the Black Life Matters “protests” in Portland—radical and pro-censorship Federal Communications Committee (FCC) Chairman Joe Biden lauded the billionaire-backed anti-police black money group Gigi Son.
Son, who was chosen by Biden as the FCC commissioner’s nominee to have jurisdiction over internet and telecommunications policy, hosted the podcast as the administration is determined to appoint leftists to critical positions in the federal bureaucracy. stone technologyThe earliest episodes will start in March 2020 and run until March 2021.
Son hosted Brandi Collins-Dexter, Senior Color Change Campaign Leader, on her July 5, 2020 podcast, where she said she was “one of the few new tech-savvy civil rights organizations” and “she liked it.[s]group and “love”[s] He “supported” them as he saw the “progress” they had made as “extraordinary”, as he “made the headlines for everything that matters today”.
“It’s important to support groups like Color Change, the NAACP Law and Defense Fund, the ACLU, and others that help protect us all from ubiquitous spy technologies,” he said.
He claimed that federal and local law enforcement used modern law enforcement technology to spy on civil rights activists. Son added that “the amount of data collected about you in public places at any given time is both surprising and incredibly frightening,” adding that history has collected ten times more for communities of color.
However, Color Of Change is 501c4, co-founded in 2005 by Van Jones, who served as the “green jobs czar” in the Obama administration and is now a CNN contributor and former director of mass mobilization for MoveOn.org James Rucker. The organization has a history of anti-police rhetoric and is a portfolio organization for the Alliance for Democracy, a covert top liberal donor group that funds left-wing causes and organizations, according to the archived 2021 version of the group’s website.
According to the Washington Free Beacon, the Democratic Alliance “A secret group of top liberal donors that “budgeted $275 million to invest in progressive infrastructure before the 2020 election.” Since its inception, the group has played a “key role in providing financial assistance to leftist movements and organisations.”
But in June 2020, before Son’s comments on Color of Change, the group praised Minneapolis for its efforts to “dissolve the police” and described policing as “an institution of violence that must be terminated” in a press release. Minneapolis’ commitment to eliminating the police is a historic moment for our nation.
And especially in the years before Son’s podcast, the group continued to tweet, arguing that police funding was cut off, funds seized, and that “more cops in this neighborhood are actually hurting black people than blacks.”
On June 29, 2020, Color Change expressed their support for removing police funding, tweeting a video in which police were paid back money, saying that “more police in black neighborhoods are actually harming black people.”
That’s what “protecting the police” actually means. Time and time again we see more and more police in black neighborhoods actually doing harm to black people. We must invest in healthy black communities: education, housing, community-led healthcare + safety. https://t.co/XtaAEZUODt pic.twitter.com/NmTB9nLAOn

In fact, the night before Son released his statement on July 4, a protest in Portland turned into a riot in which rioters set off commercial fireworks at a federal courthouse, eventually injuring several officials from nearby mortar and explosive blasts. .
At the end of the holiday weekend, the city of Portland finally declared the downtown demonstrations twice in 24 hours and a fourth time in five nights as riots. “More than a dozen people were arrested and police used tear gas to disperse people,” the report said. Oregon. At the time, city mayor Ted Wheeler voiced concerns that Portland was “in-between”.
This revelation will soon end the Son’s nomination process as he awaits a vote in the Senate.
The FCC plays an increasingly important role in the federal government, with jurisdiction over internet and telecommunications policy. For example, Trump used the FCC during his administration to combat the censorship of big technology.
As previously reported by Breitbart News, Son has a history of partisan, pro-censorship statements and connections with radical, far-left activists where he can exert influence over cable and satellite providers, bringing the challenge of political decision making:
Son is the co-founder and CEO of the left-wing advocacy group Public Knowledge, which has recently urged cable and satellite TV providers to ditch the conservative One America News Network (OAN).
thisHe also personally urged the FCC to investigate whether Sinclair Broadcast Group, a network of local TV stations run by conservatives, has a broadcast license. As a commissioner, he can do that.
He also said Fox News and social media were “dangerous to our democracy”, arguing that Fox was a huge risk, and called for a “trial” on the network, which he called “state-sponsored propaganda”.
Breitbart News also acknowledged that the Biden administration has shown its willingness to appoint far-left radicals to federal office, including those who did not previously require Senate confirmation like Meredith Whittaker. Whittaker is a far-left campaigner notorious for removing former Legacy Foundation Chairman Kay Coles James from his consulting position at Google.
Saule Omarova, appointed by Biden to the position of financial controller. Biden withdrew from his candidacy after his earlier remarks praising the Soviet Union and calls for the elimination of private banking came to light.
