Emma-Jo Morris on Conservatism in the Liberal City: ‘You’ve Made Your Way’, Liberals ‘No Muscle’

Breitbart News Political Editor Emma-Jo Morris attended a panel Friday at the Turning Point USA Young Women Leaders Summit in Dallas, Texas, where Millennial Post Editor-in-Chief Libby Emmons and New York Post Columnist Karol Marković talked about being conservative in a liberal city.

“You get stubborn and you get used to carving your own path in such a way that people who are more politically fit to their society don’t have that much muscle,” Morris said.

“Andrew Breitbart has always been a huge influence and a huge inspiration for me, and he has a very important saying that lives on for many years after his death, namely, ‘Go to the fire,’ he added. “And when people see you do it, and people see it and agree with you, they’ll start to understand that they can do it too.”

Discussing how to deal with people who accept conservative ideas but are too afraid to accept it, Morris said he acknowledges that people who are “all concerned” about dealing with backlash are less patient, but you have to remember that “people come within themselves and people like us.” they get it when they see it – they can too. But there is a delay.”

“I think it’s also important to include these people,” Morris said.

I have a friend who is progressive, she thinks, and we talk about trans sports, and she said, “I agree with you but sometimes I take it to my other progressive friends and I feel like I’m judging myself too much. It’s like they don’t want to hang out with me and maybe they don’t want to be my friend.”

And I was like, “What’s so funny about what you’re thinking?” I said. and when you sit down with them and take the time to learn what their beliefs really are and you realize within themselves that it’s not hatred, it’s not because of evil – they start to get more comfortable – then how did you study? a safer person who can express himself better to people around him.

“So you have to hold your hand a little bit,” Morris said. “There’s something to be said for patience and support.”

“Just as we want these people to support us, we need to support them in their journey to understand the world around us, which we all know is extremely complex,” added Morris.
