Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Anthony Fauci on Tuesday urged Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) to investigate his response to the coronavirus pandemic.
“Go ahead,” said the White House’s senior medical adviser, while the Republican Party threatened to look at how Fauci and Biden’s administration handled the pandemic if they regained the majority. Fauci reported that his notes were “an open book.”
“One Republican Senator Rand Paul and several Republicans are talking about what they can do if they win a seat in the House or Senate in the fall,” said host John Berman. “Senator Rand Paul said of Republicans if they take back the House of Representatives: “One way or another, if we’re in the majority, we’re going to summon him to court – your records – and he’ll testify in the Senate. ”
He asked Fauci, “What’s your reaction to Rand Paul and the others saying they’ll investigate you if they take office?” she asked.
“Well, there’s no reason for that, but if they want it, fine,” replied Fauci. “My notes are an open book. They talk about strange things, John, like crimes against democracy by shutting down the government.
He continued: “All I’ve done is go back and look at all I’ve done, suggesting sensible, efficient, CDC-recommended public health measures that have saved millions of lives. If you want to research me for this, please do.
