Energy. Ventura calls for an agreement between Portugal and Spain and asks Costa for clarification

At a press conference at the party’s headquarters, André Ventura stated that he met, through contacts linked to the Spanish party Vox (from the same political family as Chega), “that the Government of António Costa will have agreed with the Government of Pedro Sánchez in Spain on a package of measures that will be announced this month, similar to those that Spain announced to its citizens, and that these These measures would have been the subject of an agreement between the Portuguese Government and the Spanish Government, as a consequence of such an Iberian mechanism.

André Ventura said on several occasions that the information was collected through these contacts with the Vox party, but he stressed not be sure of its veracityasking for clarifications from the President of the Government, António Costa.

Among the alleged measures, the Chega leader continued, will be “temperature limits in public buildings, in private commercial spaces, in train stations, buses and airports”, public buildings will have their lights off “from 10 p.m. hours”. the entire national territory and some buildings and cultural monuments will no longer have lighting and heating”.

Ventura also spoke of “limits to industrial and private consumption.”

“We want to make it clear that Chega will not allow these measures to advance without there being a parliamentary discussion about them,” he stressed.
