The Minister of Territorial Cohesion, Ana Abrunhosa, considered that the T-Invest public platform launched this Friday will allow families and companies to make an informed decision about the municipalities where they intend to live and work.

The platform collects information that allows municipalities to be compared and allows people to make an informed decision when deciding where to live, where to work and where to invest”, said Ana Abrunhosa in statements to Lusa after the presentation of the platform.

According to the minister, the public platform gathers information “on all the support and all the infrastructure that the municipalities have for families and companies”, that is, the available business reception lots, the characteristics of these lots, which educational institutions superior there is in the territory and the distances to structuring axes such as airports, ports, among others.

It has a very wide set of information. [As pessoas podem] Knowing if the municipalities give up their part of the IRS, if they have IMT reduction, if they support the rehabilitation of the house, if they give support when a child is born, allows us to do everything”, he stressed.

The minister also highlighted the importance of this tool when a new cycle of European funds is approaching because “it is also a planning instrument to later apply support from European funds”.

Ana Abrunhosa said that the platform will be a way for the municipalities to “promote” themselves and, increasingly, “work as a network to avoid layoffs in the territories”, in addition to being a way to take advantage of existing facilities in a network manner. .

The T-Invest platform was officially launched online this Friday to disseminate information on existing incentives for families and companies in all municipalities of mainland Portugal.

This platform shows support and allows important variables to be compared between the different municipalities for the active attraction of residents and companies to the territories, such as tax exemptions, family support, tax benefits and availability of lots for the reception of companies.

For now, and according to the Secretary of State for Local Administration and Territory Planning, Carlos Miguel, who presented the platform, of the 278 municipalities on the continent, 260 have already joined, stating that they will only be “satisfied when all and 30 of the regions are autonomous.

Carlos Miguel pointed out that the platform was built to have “more functionalities in the future”, with the intention that the municipalities appropriate it and that it be a “development marketing” tool.

“With this tool we intend to convey to people and families the idea of what each municipality can offer at various levels, if they intend to move to another municipality, so that they know and make accounts and their options,” said the Secretary of State, highlighting which is a “practical, simple and effective” tool that goes directly to what people are looking for.
