The President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, sent this Thursday a message of condolences to the King of Thailand, Maha Vajiralongkorn, for the attack on a nursery in the Thai town of Uthai Sawan, in which more than 30 people died.
In the message sent to the King of Thailand, the Portuguese head of state “expressed his solidarity with the Thai people and the families of the victims” of this attack, reads a note published on the official website of the Presidency of the Republic on the Internet.
According to Thai authorities, more than 30 people, including more than 20 children, were killed in an armed attack by a former police officer who was expelled from the force for drug possession.
