The President of the Republic asked this Friday not to confuse the position of alleged situations of racism and xenophobia of some security agents with the actions of all the other elements of the PSP and GNR.

In a note from the office of the Minister of the Interior Administration, it is said that José Luís Carneiro ordered the General Inspectorate of the Interior Administration (IGAI) “to open an investigation, immediately, to determine the veracity of the evidence contained in the news of this day [quarta-feira] on the alleged publication, by agents of the security forces, of messages on social networks with discriminatory content, incitement to hatred and violence against certain people”.
