The Golden State Warriors defeated the Dallas Mavericks 112–87 by 25 points in their first game in the NBA Western Conference Finals.

With this win, the Warriors advanced 1–0 against the Mavericks in a best-of-7 possible series.

The Warriors managed to win by capitalizing on the brilliance of their star Stephen Curry, who had 21 points and 12 rebounds and had 4 assists, one steal and one save, while Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Paul each had 19 points and 5 rebounds, and Clay Thompson scored 15 points in the second half, Kevin Looney scored 10 and Draymond Green scored 10.

On the other hand, Luka Doncic, who was suffering from a nasty shoulder injury, had 20 points for his Mavericks team, seven rebounds and four assists, while Spencer Dinwiddie added 17 points.

The two teams will play again on Saturday morning in the second match of the series.
